  • Toyota Electric vehicles ties up with Oncore electric delivery from  Texas

    It has been reported recently in the United States that V2G is among the latest go-to word in the Electric Vehicle market and that is proving very accurate as the automakers continue to make the vehicle-to-grid announcements. Toyota Motor’s North American branch said on 15th of December that it is going to collaborate with Oncore electric delivery which is based in Texas on what is going to be a V2G pilot project which is going to capture energy from the Toyota Electric vehicles and will redirect it to power grid.

    As per the Toyota Electric vehicles and its Charging Solutions team, they said that they are going to envision a future where the battery electric cars are going to provide a mobility experience which best in its class but also can be utilized by the customers to power the homes and communities and also power back the grid when the need will be there.

    The ability is going to include the keeping of lights on and refrigerator humming in the blackouts. This capability is available as an extra on Ford F-150 Lightning and the Chevrolet Silverado electric vehicles.

    For Oncor, it will be a first collaboration as it operates in the research and testing of microgrids in the South of Dallas which isn’t too far from the national headquarters of Toyota.

    Toyota is going to continue experimenting with the Electric vehicles connected to the homes and businesses in service territory of Oncor. Toyota will have its first electric vehicle come in the form of bZ4X and it is going to be followed up with the Lexus RZ 450e in 2023.

    Oncor has been in operation for a century and has been in Texas. This is a company which is very bullish on electric vehicles and how it will be a game changer for the electric vehicles.

  • Toyota electric vehicle strategy gets big boost with Innova Crysta testing

    Toyota Innova Crysta is among India’s biggest and well-established MPVs. This car has been there for a longer time and is getting different regular updates from the automaker from Japan. In recent times, the manufacturer unveiled their latest Toyota Innova Hycross which is a version that is hybrid engine-powered of a car. Apart from the hybrid engine version, Toyota Innova Crysta electric was in discussion for a long time now and had been presented as the concept car earlier. Though, getting concept to function, the MPV has been spotted as a test vehicle on the public roads now. So Toyota Electric Vehicles may get a big shot in the arm with this move.

    This testing indicates that the automaker may be testing a new chassis for the ladder-on-frame vehicles. If this is successful, this may well be a big breakthrough for the car manufacturer for electrifying the lineup of its models further.

    The practice to convert ICE models into electric is established already in the American auto manufacturers such as GM, Ford and others.  

    If it gets launched, the Toyota Innova Crysta electric might be the advancement of the company towards a future which will be dominated by electric and be sustainable towards the environment and will be a great addition to the electric vehicle companies in india.

    The exteriors of the Toyota Innova Crysta EV are based completely on its ICE version only with some changes. The biggest change in design is visible upfront as there is going to be an absence of the grille as in the ICE version. Further, the car has a blue highlight all over the body.

  • Toyota And BYD Come Together For Building EVs

    Toyota Innova Crysta Electric Vehicle gets tested for use in Indian market

    BYD is a company which has been working for a very long time now on the electric vehicles; however, most of the EVs from the Chinese company particularly in the United States are right now the zero-emission buses. This looks like it is going to change specially in China as it was announced that Toyota and BYD are going to get into a new joint venture. This venture is going to focus on the developing and researching of the battery electric vehicles.

    The companies said that the new Joint Venture will be set up in 2020 in China as each of the companies is going to contribute 50% of the investment needed. The JV is going to develop and design all-electric vehicles which are going to include related parts and platforms. The resulting vehicles are destined for China as they will be made in a way to make them more attractive for the customers in China.

    The news is following an announcement made in the month of July. The announcement stated BYD and Toyota are going to consider coming together for the all-electric sedans and also low-floor SUVs.

    They had then said that the batteries which were going to be developed by the companies is going to be for the SUVs and sedan models and is also going to be used for the other vehicles.

    The companies gave more details about how they are going to staff in this new JV as they are going to transfer BYD and Toyota engineers from the related jobs in R&D in the companies to this JV as per a new statement issued by the companies.
